George Town Penang becomes Most Liveable City in Asia

George Town has improved a notch to rank as the 9th most liveable city in Asia in a survey of 254 cities worldwide. Globally, Singapore maintained the top spot as the 9th most liveable city in Asia for Asians. George Town also saw the biggest improvement in scores among the top ten in global ranking from 74 to 63.

ECA International general manager Lee Quane said in a press release that the big rise was due to improvements in recreation, housing and utilities, isolation, social network and leisure facilities, infrastructure, personal safety and political tension.
